At a charity golf outing, three friends—Kyle Flynn, Sarah Fegre, and Cassandra Weis—came to a few realizations:
- Networking events can be pricey, and too many require costly memberships.
- Big-name nonprofits often get the fundraising spotlight, while smaller ones struggle for support.
- Local small businesses rarely have the budget to sponsor—or even participate in—traditional charity events.
There had to be a better way. So, they did what any resourceful, beer-loving do-gooders would do: they created Pints with Purpose. It’s a simple (but brilliant) concept:
- A quarterly happy hour at a Dane County brewery.
- Featuring one small business sponsor and one local nonprofit.
- A laid-back way to connect with professionals who actually care.
- Zero memberships. Zero entry fees. Just good people, good beer, and good causes.
- And the best part? 100% of the dollars raised go straight to the featured nonprofit.
The first event kicked off in January 2025 at ALT Brew, drawing over 40 people and raising over $1,400—not too shabby for a happy hour! In addition, we were so grateful to have the talented videographer Alex Whipple of Life Echo Media there to help document the special night.

Friday, April 4 from 4:30–7:00 pm at ALT Brew in Madison, WI
Join us for PINTS WITH PURPOSE as we raise a pint to raise awareness about local nonprofit Active Youth Wisconsin!
Network, build new connections, and learn about this local Dane County nonprofit that's creating accessible opportunities for kids to be active in a generation when they move less than ever. Their initiatives foster inclusivity, promote self-confidence, work ethic and positive peer interactions. Their goal is that all children, regardless of background, can benefit from the physical and mental health advantages that regular activity provides.
Every beer sold at the event will do more than quench your thirst—it will make an impact! For this special event, $1 from each beer purchased will be donated to Active Youth Wisconsin. To make this happen, an extra $1 has been added to the price of each beer.
For this event, our sponsor is James Kademan of Calls On Call Extraordinary Answering Service. They are a shared receptionists service that takes calls, schedules appointments, and keeps your calendar full of happy customers while giving you the freedom and flexibility you deserve. James will be at the event and available to talk business – or brews!
